Blocked Fire Lanes could mean the difference between containment and unemployment

by admin on September 30, 2007

When a fire has broken out in a business, seconds count. Every second that a fire burns, it has more opportunity to consume materials that a business relies on to run. Every second that it burns, more damage is done that could cost the company millions to repair, and millions more to ensure in the future. Every second that a fire burns in a building, the chances of injuries or fatalities in that building go up considerably.

To ensure a clear path for firefighters and emergency personnel, it’s important to establish fire lanes and keep these lanes free of clutter and debris. If there is debris in a hallway and a fireman takes an extra few seconds to remove that debris, that’s a few more chances for the fire to spread and more damage to be done.

To remind us all of the importance of keeping fire lanes clear at all times, we’ve developed the SD006-09 Vinyl Safety Decal in 6″ x 4″. This rectangular decal is yellow and black for high impact and low cost of implementation.
