Loose Clothing can drag you into a machine

by admin on September 26, 2007

If you work in a manufacturing facility, wearing baggy clothes and jewelry are not just a fashion risk. They are also a risk to your life.

Often, a machine is belt driven or rotates with a bit. This rotating or turning piece could catch on a long sleeve shirt, long hair, jewelry or anything else that you might have dangling near the business end. Just one snag could pull you into the machine, leading to serious injuries or death. Always wear tight but comfortable fitting clothes, pull your hair up and remove any jewelry or anything else that may get caught up. The next snag could be the one that kills you.

We’ve developed a decal that warns of this. The SD006-02 can be put on any machine or near any process that may pose a danger to lose clothing or jewelry wearers.
