Remember when you were young and your mother told you not to touch something?

by admin on September 28, 2007

Chances are, that thing you weren’t supposed to touch was either too hot or too cold or sharp or pointy or otherwise dangerous. Moms have an incredible sense of when their children are going to hurt themselves and try to instill in them the knowledge they’ll need to determine safety of touch into adult hood.

As we grow older, we’re often met with no surfaces and new situations in which touching may be our first instinct. In cases where a container may be very hot or very cold, touching these surfaces could damage our nerves and the skin on our hands. In situations where things are shape or pointy or abrasive, these surfaces could cut our hands in a way that won’t heal (or won’t heal easily).

Thus we developed the SD006-06 black and yellow vinyl 6″ x 4″ decal. This decal can be placed on or near any surface that should not be touched for any reason. Use in conjunction with our “This surface is hot! ______ F ______ C” decals and our “This surface is cold! ______ F ______ C”decals to quantify the effect that these surfaces may have on curious hands.
